Glycemic index


All food falls on a scale called the Glycemic index- Something high in glycemic index (which is 0-100) (the highest is alcohol) the higher the number the faster the food or liquid is digested in the body and converted to sugar, this leads to an insulin spike, the higher your blood sugar spikes, your body then releases insulin from the pancreas to counteract this spoke and your body can then not burn fat until it levels out the blood sugar. So be conscious of those foods high on a GI scale or speak to someone who does.
